First of: Guys I am deeply impressed by Creo! Excellent work!

Could you please give a little advise how to use the imported skecth files? Saw the video on how to import them, but no clue on how to use them...

    Thanks!

    Hi @sandor thanks :-)
Once you have imported a Sketch file (and selected a slice) then it becomes immediately available as an assets. You can use it in all controls that can use images, for example in a ImageView (set it in ImageView inspector in the Image property).

    Sketch 3.8.2

    1. add Artwork
    2. add a Rectangle
    3. save as test.skp

    Creo 1.0b4.2

    1. new empty app
    2. drag test.sketch to assets
    3. add ImageView
    4. select test for Image in Inspector

expected output: show the rectangle instead of a transparent background

Can you see the right preview if you select test from Assets?
Can you please attach a screenshot?

Does your Sketch file contains any slice?
It is mandatory to setup correct slices in order to be able to use Sketch files inside Creo.

yup, that was it – I used only an artboard. After adding a slice – everything is awesome

btw, is it possible for Creo to monitor .sketch updates and reload the file ? Currently I have to delete from Assets view, dragdrop the sketch file and reselect the image file in Inspector

Not in the current beta but it is in our TO DO list.

    Thanks Guys,

any plans to support also the import of text fields etc (so not "only" graphics)?

@sandor what do you mean? Can you please give us an example?

@marco – well, in an ideal world, you would be able to import an complete artboard with icons, graphics text layers and styles. Some of the iport/export plugins are doing such things (far as i know) by exporting an XML file with the assets. If this could be used to "convert" things like textfields etc. in native creo components, well it would ease up the life and give us designers a lot more possibilities. But maybe this would be a task for some visionary guys once you open up your plugin ecosystem...

    Keep up the good work!
